The cool challenge
Write a word – with luminaires. That was our assignment. The word should be light. The apprentices had plenty of space to explore their creativity in one of our halls which we use for project set-ups.
The goal: The apprentices are to craft the new apprentice design themselves. Their work becomes part of our apprentice campaign, on social media, the website, the apprentice folder, on posters and merchandise. A pretty cool incentive, isn't it?
The ingenious idea
The nine selected apprentices set to work with great enthusiasm – but simply writing the word with luminaires wouldn’t satisfy our creative minds. After an intense brainstorming phase, an ingenious concept was born: Our Tubos were to be arranged such that the word light could only be read from a certain angle. Dario, our team’s media expert, inspired everyone with this innovative idea and in preparation he meticulously simulated the precise positioning of the TUBOs.
The creative implementation
Together, the apprentices designed, planned, and organised the project. With enormous creativity, enthusiasm, commitment, organisational joy, and team spirit. Each apprentice contributed. Support was always provided by the apprentice coach when needed. The grand finale was the assembly of the installation in the hall and the photoshoot with the professional photographer.
The enlightening result
It's all a question of perspective: 14 tubes hanging crosswise. Apparently. Because if you look at the ingenious installation from a defined point, you don't just see light, you suddenly read the word light. The self-designed graffiti artwork "Inspired by" with splashes of the new apprentice colour purple perfects the well-thought-out work.
"A highlight for me was standing in front of the finished project. Before, everything was just in my head. And then suddenly standing in front of it was just cool."
Dario, apprentice media technology
The bright minds
Nine apprentices, a media specialist, an electronics technician, an electrical technician, an information technologist, as well as office and industrial clerks from marketing, sales, purchasing, electronics, electrical engineering, IT, as well as human resources and the legal department each handled the project together.
Many thanks to our apprentices Dario, Julia, Kerstin, Emina, Sebastian, Sandra, Nico, Philipp, and Leonie for their incredibly creative and independent project implementation. We were all thrilled with the result. A thank you also goes to their trainers.
