Kitchens today are no longer dark back rooms. Rather, they are the central hub where people cook together and chat. Versatile lighting is important. When cooking, bright, wide-area lighting provides sufficient light. Spotlights or downlights, elegantly solved as insets in the suspended MOVE IT 10 track in chrome, can illuminate the kitchen island appropriately. While your dishes are simmering, the light can be dimmed to create a relaxed atmosphere for you to enjoy the moment in the kitchen.
Food is something wonderful. To enjoy it to the full, the right lighting mood is key. A stylish luminaire lends expression to the room while reflecting one’s personality. Whether you use one luminaire or combine several, the luminaires should illuminate the entire table surface evenly. The decorative TILA pendant insets in various lengths are particularly suitable for this and are also an aesthetic eye-catcher. It is best to hang the luminaires 60-70 cm above the table.
A well-rounded interior concept thrives on the interplay between shadow and light. The contrast’s needed to emphasise the beauty. The living room is the epitome of communication and conviviality. The lighting can be as multifaceted as the topics of conversation. Combine different light sources such as ceiling luminaires for basic brightness, spotlights for accents, and indirect light for atmosphere. Dimmable luminaires allow you to adjust the mood to different times of the day. This is how you create a cosy and versatile ambience in the living room.
When it is time for a change again – no problem. The flexible track system and a curated range of insets let the light be perfectly adapted to the situation.
Rest is important and light colour plays an essential role in this. Intense blueish or white light activates us and keeps us awake. Soft, golden light, however, calms us down and makes us feel tired. A combination of direct light for accentuating the wall structures and indirect ceiling lighting creates a relaxed atmosphere. If dimmed colours are also used, reflections and thus overly bright light can be avoided.

Light is a dimension that is perceived in different ways - influenced by the respective culture. I have lived in three different cultures and I have been fascinated by the importance they attach to light. As architects and lighting designers, we can therefore only touch people if we understand the context. In the end, the most important thing for me is to create emotion and this can only succeed if I see not only the architecture but also the light in context.
